Exterior Cleaning in London & Laurel County
London is the Laurel County seat and one of our busiest areas. We wash homes, roofs, driveways and businesses from downtown out to the subdivisions along I-75 and KY-192.
Lately, the biggest call we get from London is about whiskey fungus. With the Sazerac barrel warehouse campus at Rowland Acres, some London-area homeowners have reported a black, soot-like coating on their siding, roofs, cars and outdoor furniture. That is a fungus that feeds on the alcohol vapor from aging bourbon. It does not wash off with a garden hose, and pressure washing alone often leaves it behind.

Whiskey fungus soft wash: before & after
Whiskey Fungus in London, KY
Whiskey fungus (Baudoinia compniacensis) grows wherever ethanol vapor from aging barrels settles. It looks like soot or smoke damage and keeps coming back after scrubbing.
We remove it with a soft wash: a cleaning solution applied at low pressure, given time to work, then gently rinsed. It is safe for vinyl, brick and shingles and cleans the growth off instead of just the top layer.
